SLK Learning Center, Inc. is offering a special introductory workshop for parents led by Richard Perkins, the Academic English Coordinator for Gulfside Academy. Mr. Perkins specializes in preparing students for standardized tests. He has taught writing and public speaking at CSULB and USC and he is a published author of several writing and grammar workbooks.

Mr. Perkins will discuss:

  • The five secrets to a high score on the essay portion of the SAT
  • The language of standardized tests
  • How test-taking strategies can develop into crucial critical thinking skills that can be applied to all areas of life.
